Nicole | Maternity

Nicole and her amazing husband and son invited me up to New York City to do a family and maternity session for them before Thanksgiving. The shoot took place in Nicole’s gorgeous new apartment that was close to Central Park. Le sigh, what a gorgeous place to live and raise a family! Check out that view!

Isn’t Nicole the most gorgeous pregnant woman you’ve ever seen?! She literally GLOWS. I swear, no one could look more radiant than Nicole while pregnant.

The couple’s son, Luca, is just adorable. He’s such a cutie pie, and it’s fun to watch him work those shades for all the ladies.

Thanks to all of you for giving me a reason to come to New York City and especially for the lunch out on the town. It was delicious! I can’t wait to see you again soon! (Another thank you to Stefani and Angela for coming out on this awesome trip with me.)

Ok, Ok I ADMIT that I am a total fan girl for all things Twilight.

I was recently out in Forks, Washington for a Literary Symposium and met up with the awesomely talented Hillywood gang. I offered to do a shoot for them and lucky for me they said yes! I had a wonderful time hanging with these guys and their wonderful parents. Thank you so much for the fun opportunity and I hope we can work together again in the future..

I tried to capture not only the way these actors portray their beloved characters but also the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. I hope everyone enjoys the images and please visit the Hillywood Show to watch their hysterical parody of Twilight!

I had a great time hanging out with my friend and client Krisalyn and her daughter Madilyn and hubs Walter for their maternity session. Kris divulged the little “secret” when we were shooting Madi’s pics out at the Helena Amphitheater park - wow it seems like an eternity ago! I just wanted to share one sweet picture with you all. I have met the new addition to the family and shot pictures (coming soon!) they are oh so sweet!!

Thank you so much Kris for letting me capture this beautiful and special time in your family’s life!

So I am sure some of you out there have heard of the books in the Twilight saga by Stephenie Meyer which is set in- YOU guessed it Forks, Washington.

I must admit I have read all of the books in Stephenie’s series and I am a fan. I was SO THRILLED when I was invited by Ann-Laurel, the awesome woman who is holding the Summer School in Forks Symposium, to be their candid staff photographer, for the event! If you haven’t heard of the SSIF event just click here to go check it out. I know that registration will quickly become limited to this once in a lifetime event- so hurry up and get your tickets and come see me there! You can also learn more about Forks, Washington and their ever growing Twilight Phenomenon here in the Forks Forum.

I am hoping to have some time to really explore the Olympic Peninsula and possibly do a couple of Bridal Sessions out on the beautiful beaches in La Push. If you are interested please contact me!

What’s your Love Story?
We all love to hear a good love story! Let us capture your wedding day FREE!
Are you or someone you know anyone getting married in 2009 that is deserving of free wedding photography? If so, submit the love story, a snapshot picture of the couple, wedding date and wedding venue to us via email. All you have to do is tell us why Once in Every Life Photography should capture the wedding for FREE!! Stories should be no more than 1500 words.

-Wedding must take place in Birmingham, Alabama or within 75 miles of.
-Your story has to be true. Anyone submitting a false story will be disqualified!
-Your entire wedding budget must be under $5k.
-We will verify your love story and budgets of the finalists prior to winners being announced.
-Winners will be chosen by a team of judges and OIELP.
-The couple must be willing to appear on our blog with their story and sign release forms.
-Winners cannot be relatives, friends or acquaintances of Once in Every Life Photography.
- If you are a currently booked/contracted couple you are not eligible to enter or win.
