I met Codie and Brandon out at an old Grist Mill for their session, and the location turned out to be a fantastic choice!  The weather, however, was a little more fickle.  We had to battle lots of bugs and crazy humidity all day, but it ended up being a great session that we all had fun with!

Codie and Brandon as a couple are so comfortable together, and you can really see the love there.  As individuals, they are just as awesome!  Codie is such a sweetheart and has the most beautiful eyes I’ve seen in a long time.  Brandon is quite the charmer, and he was so much fun to be around!

Codie and Brandon, I had so much fun with you for this session, and I can’t wait to meet up again in September for your wedding!

As I said in the teaser post… these two are so sweet together.  They each have great hearts, and when combined, produce something magical.  Just looking at them, it’s easy to tell that they’ll have a lifetime of happiness together!

Doesn’t Missy have amazing eyes?!  Their wedding will also be at Lookout Mountain at an amazing venue!  Missy and Cody, I can’t wait to return to photograph your wedding!  We’re going to have an amazing time.  Thanks again for letting me shoot you, I hope you enjoy these pictures!

I recently shot an engagement session for such a wonderful couple, Carrie and Chris.  They wanted to shoot at Kymulga Grist Mill, such a cool and gritty location!  It was the perfect contrast to their relaxation around each other.  The day was cool and sunny, perfect for an engagement shoot!

Carrie and Chris make a great couple.  They are a perfect complement to each other; so funny and full of laughter!  They are so sweet and caring around each other, and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in a few months!

I made a sweet little kitten friend while shooting, and he was with us for the whole session!  He’s hiding in two of the pictures in this post, can you find him?!

Jessie and Austin are such troopers.  We tried to schedule this session a zillion and one times but kept battling rain each time!  We finally were able to snap a few photos, and these two make quite the gorgeous couple.  The frustrating rain was worth it to be able to grab a few pictures of these two.

There is quite the spark between this couple… you can just see it in the photos!  I can already tell that they’ll be in love for a very, very long time.  Also… doesn’t Jessie just have the most incredibly stunning curly hair?!

We’re going to meet up in the spring for a continuation of this session… let’s hope the rain doesn’t interfere again this time!  Jessie and Austin will be married on 10-10-10… an anniversary I’m sure they’ll never forget.  I can’t wait for our upcoming sessions… see you soon!

Tiffany and Jay are so sweet.  I had met them at several previous weddings that I had shot for her sorority sisters, so you can imagine how excited I was when Tiffany called me to tell me that she was engaged and wanted me to shoot her own wedding!  There is nothing more flattering than a referral from one of my brides.  To know that someone liked my work enough to share it with their friends… that’s the best!

These two are so in love, and that makes for a wonderful couple to photograph.  It also helped that we had a perfect day out in Helena Park with a beautiful, clear blue sky dotted with swirly clouds!

I love when couples have clearly coordinated parts of their outfits to complement each other.  Tiffany and Jay were wearing matching Chuck Taylor sneakers.  It was so sweet!

Tiffany and Jay are planning to be married in June 2010, and I can’t wait for their wedding day!  This engagement shoot was so special, and I know that means the wedding will be just as special, if not more!  See you two soon!

It was such a pleasure getting together with Alisa and Jamey to do their engagement photoshoot!

The photo above says it all… these two are so smitten on each other!  It makes my job so incredibly easy when a couple has that smitten-and-in-love look… the photos just create themselves.  Alisa and Jamey definitely have that quality between them and it was amazing to be able to capture that essence in these photos.

Our session was located at a ranch that Alisa once worked.  Sweetly enough, this is also where Jamey proposed, so this place definitely has a special place in their hearts.  What a fun location!

In case you couldn’t tell… these two are FUN!  It’s so refreshing when a couple can just let loose and have a little fun during their session; it really makes the photos that much more special.  Alisa and Jamey are planning to be married in January 2010… they can’t wait for their wedding, and I can’t wait to photograph it!

I recently shot Charee and Ben’s engagement session in Mountain Brook… these two are such an awesome couple!

Charee is one of the nicest future brides I’ve met… and Ben is quite the groom-to-be!  He is ALL about taking photos!  It makes my job so much easier when I get a couple that is comfortable in front of the camera and willing to do anything!  The couple has a dog, Bruce, who even made it into a few shots:

We had some issues because of the rain, so I treated these two to Starbucks near the end of the session and just let them play!

Charee and Ben’s wedding is in Novemeber, and I can’t wait to spend another day with these two, capturing their special day!  These two are a perfect match, and from the looks of these photos… the wedding will be tons of fun.  Love you both!

I spent a beautiful, sunny afternoon with Bri and Michael in Historic Verbena shooting some engagement photos!

I adore Bri and Michael.  We went all around the area shooting in different locations.  There’s nothing I love more than a couple who’s willing to try anything!  Just look at how wonderful these next few shots turned out!

This shoot was so fun.  At one point, a few Lab puppies wandered over to play!  Their wedding is around the corner, so look for those pictures soon!  Thanks to Angela of Amarino Photo for coming out to help with the sesson – she rocks and is a great friend!

Melissa and Justin’s engagement shoot took place at Orr Park in Montevallo.

These two were so sweet, and we had a gorgeous day!  It was warm, and best of all, there was no rain!

I had the pleasure of shooting an engagment session for the lovely Dionne and Tenikos!

We shot outside at the picturesque Helena Amphitheater Park.  What a gorgeous location!

Dionne and Niko are so sweet together.  They are truly and completely in love with each other, and it was awesome to be able to capture that for them.  Plus, they make such a beautiful couple!
