As fall quickly approaches- here’s a sneak peak at a lovely wedding held back in August. Adam and I, along with our photo friend Audrey, had the great pleasure of working with Tracey and Jeremy. Their wedding was held at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church with reception following in the Social Hall. Although the weather was quite hot, we managed to get some great photos outdoors as well as inside. The Social Hall foyer allowed for some creative formals using sofas and chairs- giving a variety to the traditional formals. Thanks to everyone for braving the heat to showcase the beautiful courtyard and flowers. We wish you all the best to come. Congrats!

Hello There-

Adventure awaits us once again at a new place for photos- Noccalula Falls. Many may have heard the legendary story of the Indian Princess’s lovers leap from the Falls. This place was not only beautiful and educational, but a perfect photo op.

Adam and I had the great pleasure of meeting with love birds Brooke and Scott a few weeks ago to explore the Noccalula Falls, The New Wedding Chapel and a few fun places inside the park (pioneer village and the old covered bridge) This is definitely a neat place full of multiple areas to explore and create some creative photos. The textures from the poineer viallge give a great rustic feel and the natural park setting gives a great nature look to the photos as well. Perfect props for a very nice set.

Missy and Cody were recently married, and I’m so pleased so share some photos of their special day! I think the photos speak for themselves… Missy was a beautiful bride, Cody was a handsome groom, Grandview on Lookout Mountain in Tennessee was such a perfect location and the day was amazing!

Sheena + Adam | Engagement

Adam and I had a great time exploring a new place to shoot an engagement session- The Kymulga Grist Mill in Childersberg. I’ve been wanting to shoot somewhere different and Sheena wanted something alittle different too, so we decided upon trying out this place. It had so many unique areas from the railroad tracks , the grist mill, covered bridge and older buildings. We took our sweet time and enjoyed alittle over 2 hours exploring this new territory, and yes kitty cat joined in too. Thanks for a great session and congrats on your engagement! We look forward to working with you both next year!!

Angela | Maternity

Angela is one of my angels. She came into my life last year in a huge time of need. Sometimes in sorrow and despair people reach out to you because of their kind hearts, selflessness and human spirit. I know Angela is this person, not only to me, but to everyone she meets.

Last year right after my brother Lucas was killed in a tragic car accident, I needed help with my business – I just couldn’t do it all on my own anymore. I was broken hearted and was in the middle of my busiest wedding season ever. Angela found me through a post my other beloved friend Kricia Morris tweeted about me needing some help and about the loss of my brother. I had never met Angela before and she wrote me the sweetest email offering her own words of hope and encouragement and that she would help me in what ever capacity I needed. I will never forget our first lunch date – we clicked instantly.

Over the past year or so, we have been growing our friendship she has helped me more than I could ever repay her. She is always selfless and kind. Angela is the kind of friend I wish everyone could have.

Angela, I want to thank you so much for being such a great friend during such a low point in my life. The few people like you and Kricia who really pushed me and helped me to keep going are really what this business is and in reality should be about – relationships. It is my honor to call you both my friends. I love you gals!

And without further babbling, I give you Angela 34 weeks pregnant with what I am sure is a little angel of her own.

Maigan & Marcus | Wedding

Maigan and Marcus were married recently at the Cerebral Palsy Center in Homewood. Maigan is originally from Oregon, but both she and her husband now live in Atlanta!

They were blessed with a beautiful day and great weather, and were surrounded by lots of family and friends. Speaking of friends… how much do you love those slightly-mismatched bridesmaid dresses?! They were such a great touch, and looked beautiful all together.

FlowerStems provided the floral arrangements, and they were beautiful, as always! Maigan and Marcus, thanks so much for inviting me to share your special day with you! I wish you all the love in the world.

Codie & Brandon | Engagement

I met Codie and Brandon out at an old Grist Mill for their session, and the location turned out to be a fantastic choice! The weather, however, was a little more fickle. We had to battle lots of bugs and crazy humidity all day, but it ended up being a great session that we all had fun with!

Codie and Brandon as a couple are so comfortable together, and you can really see the love there. As individuals, they are just as awesome! Codie is such a sweetheart and has the most beautiful eyes I’ve seen in a long time. Brandon is quite the charmer, and he was so much fun to be around!

Codie and Brandon, I had so much fun with you for this session, and I can’t wait to meet up again in September for your wedding!

Brandi & Chris | Wedding

This latest post is dedicated to Brandi and Chris and their incredible wedding! They were blessed with such beautiful weather, and it really helped give their special day that extra oomph!

We shot photos at a bed and breakfast, an old wedding chapel from the 1800s and an old farm, all out in the Colombiana area. All in all, it was an amazing day, and I’m so happy I could capture it for these two! Brandi and Chris, congratulations! I wish you all the love and happiness your hearts can hold, and then some.

Amber & Baines | Wedding

Amber and Jason (who goes by Baines) were recently married! They were wed in Decatur, Alabama a few weeks back on an especially chilly day… brrr! The brisk weather didn’t interfere too much, though, and they had a beautiful day together spent with family and friends surrounding them.

These two are originally from Hawaii… how cool is that?! Because of this, their family and friends flew in from all over the place, and it really made the day that much more special for all involved. After their ceremony, the reception was held at an intimate restaurant called Curry’s. It was perfect!

For the couple-y shots, we meandered all over the city to find different locations and cool places to shoot, and I’d say we were pretty successful! In addition, Amber’s wedding day attire was impeccable: a handmade birdcage veil, button bouquets, purple flowers… and a dress with POCKETS! She totally rocks for that, and looked beautiful all day. Baines looked particularly handsome as well, I really loved his tie.

Amber and Baines… thank you so much for the opportunity to spend the day with you on one of the most important days in both of your lives. I had a blast with you, you’re such a fun and loving couple! I had a wonderful time shooting your wedding, and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!
